After a quiet offensive first quarter, the #11 STLCC women's basketball gained traction, leading to a 79-58 win against State Fair CC on Wednesday, December 5. The Lady Archers trailed 15-8 after one quarter, before outscoring the Lady Roadrunners 26-14 in the second quarter. STLCC never relinquished their lead in the second half and recored their second win in MCCAC play.
Kyleigh Vaught led the way offensively for the Lady Archers with 20 points. Ronne'zja Elliott chipped in with 13 points and Kimyra McGhee recored 12 points and tied for the team lead with six rebounds. Simone Rodney also added six rebounds and dished out five assists. The Lady Archers improve to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in MCCAC play. The team will be back in action on Sunday, December 9, when STLCC hosts its annual Women's Basketball Classic at Forest Park.
