Missouri-Illinois Junior College Basketball Shootout Set for December 7
The matchups are set for the Missouri-Illinois Junior College Basketball Shootout, hosted by St. Louis Community College (STLCC) on Sunday, December 7, at the Forest Park Campus Gymnasium. This annual showcase features five exciting games and some of the top talent in junior college basketball, including four teams ranked in the NJCAA Division I and II preseason polls—STLCC, Parkland, Moberly, and John A. Logan—as well as defending NJCAA Region 16 Champion Three Rivers Community College.
Opening Game: STLCC vs. Parkland College
The action tips off at 11:00 AM with the host Archers taking on Parkland College, the #1 ranked team in NJCAA Division II. STLCC enters the contest at 3–2, looking to rebound against the undefeated Cobras. The Archers will lean on sophomore standouts Zac Goss (Lindbergh H.S.), who leads the team with 15 points per game, and Darric Smith (Parkway North H.S.), averaging a team-best 7 rebounds per contest.
