STLCC Archers Tip Off 2025-2026 Basketball Season November 1
The St. Louis Community College Archers men's basketball team will launch its 2025-2026 campaign on Saturday, November 1 at 5:00 p.m., hosting West Kentucky Community and Technical College at the Forest Park Campus gym.
The Archers return a strong core of six key rotation players, including standout Darric Smith (Parkway North), a First Team All-Region forward, and Zac Goss (Lindbergh), a Second Team All-Region guard. The team will also benefit from a promising group of newcomers, highlighted by Stefan Higgins (Northwest Cedar Hills), who led all high school players in the St. Louis region in rebounding during the 2023-2024 season.
Head Coach Terry Collins expressed optimism about the team's prospects:
"This year's team certainly has the potential to compete for an NJCAA II Region Championship. The returnees were part of a team that beat both the Division I and II Region Champions during the 2024-2025 regular season. The key will be how successfully we can integrate several talented newcomers into the team's rotation to provide the depth that was missing last year."
Originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m., the tip-off was moved to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate a packed day of STLCC athletics. The women's volleyball team will host the Region Championships at the Meramec Campus, and the men's soccer team may host a Region Championship match at Florissant Valley at 2:00 p.m.
The day of competition will culminate at Forest Park, where fans are invited to cheer on the Archers as they begin what promises to be an exciting season.
