Archers Fall To Spoon River In Home Opener

The STLCC men's basketball team hosted Spoon River College on Saturday, January 23 following an 89-55 win against Missouri Baptist JV in their season opener. In Saturday's game, the Archers struggled to get their offense going early and trailed the snappers by a score of 27-15 at the half. In the second half, STLCC got into a better rhythm on offense, but fell to Spoon River by a final score of 69-55. Scoring in double figures for the Archers were Ahian Barnett (17 points), Kameryn Hubbard (11 points) and Doreante Tucker (10 points). With Saturday's loss, the Archers fell to 1-1 on the season. The STLCC men's basketball team will return to action on Wednesday, January 27 at Lincoln Land CC.
