Hearthstone Team Advances to National Championship

STLCC Esports wrapped up an exciting postseason with standout performances in two major titles.

On Monday, December 1, our Marvel Rivals team faced Brookdale Community College in the opening round of Nationals. Despite a strong effort and competitive play, the team fell short with a final score of 1–3, concluding a hard-fought season.

On Tuesday, December 2, our Hearthstone team delivered a decisive victory against Salt Lake Community College in the National Semifinals, finishing 3–1. This win secures their spot in the NJCAA National Championship match on December 9, 2025.

"We're proud of the dedication and resilience our student-athletes have shown throughout the season," said Sharon Marquardt, Director of Athletics. "Advancing to a national championship is a testament to their hard work and passion for competition."

Esports Coach Cruz added, "Having a second team advance to the NJCAA National Championship for the second straight year is an incredible achievement. It speaks volumes about the depth of talent and commitment within our program."
