STLCC Baseball Closes Out 2026 Season
The St. Louis Community College baseball team concluded its 2026 season with a competitive 24–25 overall record across 51 games, highlighted by a potent offense that consistently produced runs and extra-base power throughout the spring.
The Archers finished the year scoring 347 runs (6.80 per game) while facing a challenging schedule, ending with a 347–366 run differential. STLCC's identity was clearly built around its offensive firepower, discipline at the plate, and ability to create scoring opportunities.
Power Offense Sets the Tone
STLCC delivered one of its most productive offensive seasons in recent years, posting a .279 team batting average, .393 on-base percentage, and a strong .852 OPS. The Archers totaled 412 hits and averaged just over 8 hits per game, applying steady pressure to opposing pitching staffs.
Power was a defining characteristic of the lineup, as STLCC recorded an impressive 147 extra-base hits, including:
- 82 doubles (1.61 per game)
- 11 triples
- 54 home runs (1.06 per game)
The home run total stands out as a major offensive weapon, helping the team generate 314 RBIs (6.16 per game) and capitalize quickly in key moments.
Patience at the plate also played a key role, with the Archers drawing 230 walks (3.96 per game) and being hit by pitches 62 times, contributing to their strong on-base numbers and consistent run production.
Situational Hitting and Execution
STLCC showed the ability to deliver in key situations, particularly with runners in scoring position. The team hit .640 with runners on third base (16-for-25) and demonstrated situational awareness with a .263 average with two outs.
Leadoff production also contributed to offensive success, as the Archers reached base at a .471 clip in leadoff opportunities, setting the tone at the top of the lineup.
Speed and Aggressive Play
