After State Fair scored in the first inning, the Archers responded with a five-run third and added two more in the fourth to pull away. Nicholas Bonczkowski powered the offense, going 2-for-4 with a double, triple, and three RBIs. Tyler Tipton added two RBIs, while Jack Burle and Jackson Reiter also drove in runs as STLCC totaled nine hits.
Game 2 – Friday, March 28 (Game 2): STLCC 9, State Fair 8
The second game of Friday was a back-and-forth battle that showcased the Archers' offensive depth and resilience. STLCC broke through with four runs in the sixth inning and another four in the seventh to build a lead they would not relinquish.

On the mound, Mason Carroll picked up the win in relief with 2.2 scoreless innings, and the Archers were able to withstand a late push from the Roadrunners.
Game 3 – Saturday, March 29 (Game 1): STLCC 9, State Fair 6
Saturday's opener featured power from the middle of the STLCC lineup as the Archers used a seven-run stretch across the third and fourth innings to take control.
Luke Seiler and McKinley Floyd each homered, with Floyd driving in three runs. Seiler added two RBIs, while Jack Burle, Keegan Fowler, and Jackson Reiter contributed run-scoring hits. STLCC again finished with 11 hits in the win.
William Merrikin earned the victory on the mound, striking out eight over 6.1 innings, and Oscar Nottingham recorded the save to close it out.
Game 4 – Saturday, March 29 (Game 2): STLCC 6, State Fair 2
The series finale saw the Archers lean on pitching depth and efficient offense. STLCC scored in five different innings and held State Fair to just two runs.
McKinley Floyd homered and drove in a run, Nicholas Bonczkowski collected two RBIs, and Lane Elder added a run-scoring double. STLCC tallied nine hits and played strong defense behind its staff.
On the mound, Derek Dankenbring earned the win with four solid innings, allowing just one unearned run. Renn Fiss delivered three shutout innings in relief, and Oscar Nottingham finished the game to complete the sweep.
From the Coaching Staff
Pitching Coach Brian Myers credited the starting rotation for setting the foundation throughout the series.
"Our starters did exactly what we ask of them — they competed, attacked hitters, and gave us quality starts," Myers said. "When your starters give you a chance to stay in every game like that, it allows the offense to settle in and the bullpen to do its job. That was a big key to this weekend."
With the four-game sweep, STLCC strengthened its position in Region 16 play and demonstrated balance across all facets of the game. The Archers will look to carry that momentum forward as region action continues on Thursday, 4/2 at Three Rivers Community College.
