The St. Louis Community College men's basketball team made a late second half push against MCC-Penn Valley on Saturday afternoon, but could not overcome a rough first half in falling 81-79 on the Forest Park campus.

STLCC trailed 46-34 at the half, and used defensive pressure in the second half to pull the game to within striking distance.  Sean Rigmaiden led the Archers with 20 points and was joined in double figure scoring by Todd Simms with 16, DaVante Harrell with 13 and Brian Enriquez with 10 points respectively.  Rigmainden, Miles Nettles and Simms each added 4 steals on the night to help make a late push.

The Archers fall to 11-7 on the year and 0-1 in Region 16 play, and travel to Mineral Area College on Wednesday night for a 7 pm tip.  Mineral Area comes into the matchup at 21-0 and is currently ranked 5th in the latest NJCAA Division 1 poll.
